We travel quite a bit for our work and I try to pick locally owner establishments when choosing haircuts. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of care given by this Salon. This is a men-centric salon that includes a hot towel treatment on your face, a hair wash, and general trimming on neck. I have a beard and my stylist even took care of my lines without being asked. Nicole was great and saw me twice in our time in the city. This is an excellent shop that has many other services I personally did not use.

I have been going to Frank’s for years. So why has it taken me so long to write a review? Well, I’m still not really sure if I can articulate a review that does Ariana justice, but here goes. My hair is notoriously hard to cut and I may be a little narcissistic about it. But, I have yet to walk out with a bad haircut. I don’t even have to comb it the whole next week. I legitimately wake up looking good, I wash my hair and it looks good, I take off a helmet and it looks good. I drive 49 minutes, each way, because it’s worth it. The comment I get from everyone is “your beard is magnificent”, I know, I get it done at Frank’s. The king of Sparta has nothing on me. The staff is always welcoming, they are easy to talk to, they remember you, and genuinely care about your existence. It’s not some awkward exchange of money and service that you get from most places. Just good people. If you are walking the fence about scheduling, you are doing yourself a disservice by not checking it out.

Hands down the best Gentlemen's Salon in the Columbia area. I have been going Franks for years now, and they know how to treat their customers. Not only is the service top-notch, the staff, environment and experience is one worth mentioning. Exactly the reason why I became a Franks guy. At Franks, they make you feel welcomed and relaxed. Also, did I forget to mention they offer complimentary beverages? What more can you ask for. Scheduling an appointment is seamless too. If you want your hair to look slick and sharp, they also have great men's hair products for sale. They are also willing to provide any advice or expertise. I highly recommend! Your hair will thank you later!

Gents, read in full if you really want the scoop; There aren’t many times when I feel like a service based company can change your outlook on an industry… we’ll Franks Gentlemen’s salon did. The experience has the swag of New York class with the vibe of a relaxed southern hang out (beer is optional, but available) with a private lounge/waiting area that was perfect to take a business call or two while we unwound with our feet up. The experience felt like it was ALL about me, no alternate agendas, no hurrying, just taking care of me, and it was perfect. Now to the focal point, the cut. It was second to none, being ex-military, I scrutinize the haircuts with a fine tooth comb and not a single hair was out of place. From the shampoo after, the neck massage that followed, it was all just so perfect. Big shoutout to Ari (Ariana) and Steph, first class ladies. Thank you for everything

I was a regular at Frank’s for a while; Katie was my stylist and I always looked forward to my haircuts. A couple months ago I came for my appointment and Katie wasn’t there, they had someone else scheduled to do my hair but I hadn’t received any advanced notice. I was told she was “no longer in the industry.” Turns out she was one of several stylists who walked out due to poor treatment from management, and she is still very much a stylist, but Frank’s kept all client logs and prevented everyone from keeping in touch at their new locations. I discovered this only after visiting other barbers and hearing through the grapevine. If your stylist suddenly disappeared and you’re wondering where they went, ask around, because they’re probably still in Columbia and trying to rebuild their clientele from nothing. I wish that Frank’s had been more honest and less shady about this, and I’ve decided to support the people who left instead of patronizing a business who doesn’t value their employees.

First time going to Frank’s Gentlemen’s Salon and it was a solid experience from beginning to end. S/O to Nikki for giving me the cleanest looking haircut in town. I highly recommend her. Make the switch to Frank’s and stop getting butchered at these other average barbershops.

First time at Frank’s and was thoroughly impressed. The operation itself felt very professional and definitely promoted an elevated experience. I worked with Nikki who was able to clean up a very bad previous haircut as well as style my hair exactly as I requested. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks, Nikki!
